that one day i'd escape the earth
with all the foolish ease
my thoughts elude
the truth;
and fly
a wish that smiles and flutters beyond our reach,
as a cloud that lights adown upon our minds,
to delight by just unfurling out,
seen bare and free
for all the world.
It's just some dust and dreams aloft,
Rising above the noise at length.
Like smiles they shine alike—
For a little while at least
And as I see the dust ascend...
I realized it then.
